Corporate Bank Medical Outreach at Mushin Local Government

On April 11, 2019 Corporate Bank Directorate executed a Corporate Social Responsibility project tagged “Doing Good” under the Fidelity Helping Hands Program. It was a collaboration with the Bridge Medical and Consultancy Limited, an organisation committed to providing the best comprehensive, preventive and curative medical services in Nigeria, as well as advancing global health initiative by creating public awareness on the benefits of timely screening for early detection.

Every team member under the Corporate Directorate contributed towards this laudable project; as Fidelity Helping Hands Program is a vision of the Bank and Fidelity Bank has come to be known as a Bank that is committed to the welfare of the less privileged.

The project was a two-day medical outreach which took place at Mushin Local Government area. The community is a densely populated, mixed commercial and residential area with inadequate sanitation, low quality housing and minimal access to basic healthcare services. The exercise attracted an enormous turnout of inhabitants who participated and benefitted free Health care ranging from; various Cancer Screenings, Cryotherapy treatment, Hepatitis B and C, Malaria, HIV counselling and testing, Fasting blood sugar, Free eye glasses and consultation, Blood pressure, free medications, general consultation, Referral and follow-up etc.

It was a project that attracted over 1,000 individuals targeted men, women and children, providing medical tests, treatments and advisory services. Fidelity Corporate Bank’s Executive Director, Obaro Odeghe stated that the project sought to improve the lives and wellbeing of members in the area through this medical outreach and thanked the community for the opportunity to serve them. He assured of the Bank’s commitment to make the society a better place to live in by continually giving back to our host community.
