Fidelity Bank now Live on mVisa

FmVisa to foster Mobile Payment and Financial Services in Nigeria in line with the financial inclusion policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). At the launch, the global payment lender Visa, said that its innovative mobile payment will aid consumers and business merchants to make payments with smartphones by scanning a quick response (QR) code at the point of making transaction.

With the official launch of mVisa in Nigeria, Fidelity bank has started offering customers the convenience which comes with being associated with mVisa through the Fidelity mobile banking application present on devices and smartphones. Speaking at the event, the Chief Operations and Information Officer (COIO), Fidelity Bank Plc., Gbolahan Joshua, said that the development is a reflection of the Bank’s relentless pursuit for efficiency, customer service and innovation.

He explained that the initiative will improve payments and bring more people into the Bank’s digital banking network. “We are always looking for new ways to improve access to our customers. With this, our payment systems will be improved and more people will be profiled for credit payments and credit systems”

Also speaking at the event, Head, Electronic Banking, Fidelity Bank Ifeoma Onibuje noted that Fidelity Bank was convinced about the efficiency and convenience which mVisa is set to bring into the financial market space; “mVisa is an innovative service that merges the everyday mobile phone to a payment solutions plan that is easy for our customers to use. Our account holders will appreciate the convenience mVisa offers.”

Apart from Nigeria, mVisa has gone live in Kenya, India, Rwanda and Egypt with plans to launch across Africa.
