fidelity bank youth empowerment

The Fidelity Youth Empowerment Academy at The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State

Whenever one refers to the youth, a popular cliche comes to mind. Youths are tomorrow’s leaders. But, why not today? Taking up the reins of power at the height of the greath depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd US President never lost sight of the power of youths for change. He once said: “We cannot always build the future for our youths, but we can build our youths for the future”. At Fidelity, we share the same sentiments. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, we equip Nigerian youths with necessary skills to ensure that when that future does arrive they are capable of sustaining themselves and developing their respective communities. In light of this, Fidelity Bank in strategic partnership with Gazelle Academy and University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), has empowered 300 Nigerian youths with top-of-the-line entrepreneurial skills. The 5-day programme is aimed at building a new breed of entrepreneurs amongst Nigeria’s boisterous youth population.
